The CBFC requested a few adjustments; fortunately, these are merely minor tweaks that leave the film’s narrative intact. At first, a fresh disclaimer burst onto the scene while the old one gracefully took its leave. Wherever the brand of liquor appeared, it was obscured. At the start of the year, producers were invited to conjure up a fictional name for a place and a year.

The CBFC requested the filmmakers to eliminate the word f****r from any instance it was spoken in the movie. The scene of the police confronting an elderly man was vividly transformed. An engaging debate was fittingly swapped for an “emergency clause”; the perspective of an individual in the same scene also shifted dramatically. In a vibrant moment, the logo danced in a blur on a file clutched by Seema Biswas (Janaki). At last, a lively twist in the second half transformed the dialogue to “Janaki Amma ka gaon sirf ek… check muh pe fek ke maara.”

Following this update, Jolly LLB 3 was awarded a U/A 16+ rating on September 2! The film has a censor certificate with a runtime of 157.16 minutes. To put it another way, Jolly LLB runs for 3 hours, 37 minutes, and 16 seconds!

⚖️Dispute

Claiming that the film’s trailer and the song “Bhai Vakeel Hai” slandered the legal profession and humiliated the court, several public interest litigations (PILs) were filed against the film. The Allahabad High Court, on the one hand, and the Bombay High Court, on the other, both denied motions to halt the film’s publication, citing the fact that judges are used to criticism and unmoved by satire. Overall, the courts determined that the allegations did not satisfy the standard of defamation or contempt, and the Madhya Pradesh High Court issued notifications regarding the song without imposing a ban.

⚖️Release Disagreement

For a short time, the movie and PVR INOX disagreed on the Virtual Print Fee. Although the producers insisted that their films were excluded from these fees due to an existing arrangement, PVR INOX allegedly demanded payment of almost ₹3.5 crore just before the film’s release and briefly stopped advance reservations. After the producers approved the payment, the problem was fixed, and ticket sales were later resumed. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, via their 20th Century Studios banner, released the movie in theaters on September 19, 2025, the same day as it was released in North America and abroad.
